Contact — request an assessment

All contact goes through the form. Describe what you need and we'll get back to you within 5 minutes — we'll talk the job through and give you a quote, rather than just promising to come and have a look.

How to get in touch with us

The form on this page is the only channel, and that is deliberate. During the working day the arborist is up a tree or working machinery and can't answer at that moment. An enquiry through the form we see, and every one gets an answer; you can attach photos to it, and it leaves a written record of what was asked for and what was agreed. More about why we work this way — about us.

What to put in your enquiry

The more specific the enquiry, the more specific the answer. These are the useful things:

  • Location. The city or municipality and the neighbourhood — the exact address isn't needed if it isn't relevant yet.
  • What you need. Felling, pruning, deadwood removal, stump grinding, branch removal, or simply finding out whether a tree is dangerous.
  • How many trees. One tree or several — that changes how the visit is planned.
  • What surrounds the tree. House, fence, greenhouse, paving, cables, the neighbour's boundary.
  • Vehicle access. Whether machinery can be driven up to the tree, how wide the gates are, what the ground is like.
  • Whether you want to keep the firewood. If so, we cut it to length and stack it on the spot.
  • Deadline. Whether there is a particular date by which the work has to be done.

What photos to attach

Photos are the reason we can give you a real quote off the back of an enquiry, without a separate site visit. Four shots do the job:

  1. The whole tree — a shot from further back showing the entire tree, with something of known size beside it: a person, a car, a fence, the corner of the house. Without that, height can't be judged from a picture.
  2. The base of the trunk — a closer shot of the bottom of the trunk and the ground around it. This is where the most important signs show: rot, cavities, fungi, lifted turf.
  3. The surroundings — a shot showing what is close to the tree. This answers the key question: is there room to fell it, or does it have to be lowered in sections.
  4. The access route — a shot from the street or the gate looking towards the tree.

These shots answer the same questions we would otherwise have to talk through — only more accurately, because we can see for ourselves. The full list of what determines the scale of the job and the price is on the prices page.

What happens after you send an enquiry

We look at the enquiry and the photos

We work out what kind of job it is and what method will be needed.

We reply with a quote

We answer ordinary enquiries within the working day. If anything is still unclear from the photos, we ask, or offer to come out and look before the work starts.

We agree a time

Once you have confirmed, we set a date for the visit. If the tree needs a felling permit, we arrange it — more on permits.

Urgent cases

If a tree has already come down, has broken and is still hanging, or has suddenly started to lean — mark your enquiry as urgent. We look at these first and try to come out the same day; we tell you the realistic time when we reply, because it depends on the time of day, the weather and the number of call-outs. If a tree is down on power lines, contact the emergency service of the electricity network operator first — we work after that. More: emergency tree removal.

Where we work

Rīga and roughly a 50 km radius around it: Jūrmala, Mārupe, Ķekava, Salaspils, Ādaži, Olaine, Babīte, Piņķi, Baloži, Ikšķile, Ogre, Sigulda, Carnikava, Saulkrasti, Baldone, Stopiņi, Garkalne, Ropaži, Jelgava and everywhere in between. If you aren't sure whether your address falls within that, put it in your enquiry — we'll answer either way.

We work both with owners of private houses and with businesses and property managers. If your question is a general one rather than about a specific job, we have gathered answers to the most common ones on the frequently asked questions page.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly do you respond to an enquiry?
Once you have filled in the form, we get back to you within 5 minutes. Mark urgent cases as urgent — we look at those first, and in an emergency we try to come out the same day.
Can you give a price without coming out to look?
In most cases, yes. When we speak, we ask about the height of the tree, the base of the trunk, the surroundings and the access route — that is usually enough for an approximate quote. If anything is still unclear, we say so and come out to look before the work starts.
Do you work outside Rīga?
Yes, within roughly a 50 km radius — Jūrmala, Mārupe, Ķekava, Salaspils, Ādaži, Olaine, Ikšķile, Ogre, Sigulda, Saulkrasti, Jelgava and everywhere in between. If you aren't sure about your address, put it in your enquiry.
